Just discovered your website on google and that i feel it truly is a shame that you usually are not ranked greater given that this is a terrific put up. To alter this I made the decision to add your website to my RSS reader and that i will attempt to mention you in considered one of my posts due to the fact you really deserve far more readers when publishing written content of this good quality.

Dear (Bearded) Toaster,

Since this is apparently the only way I have of contacting you, I have no idea whether or not you are even alive at this point. Considering I was living with you less than a year ago, I think this is a problem.

Good luck on the remaining 1/3 of the trip (or whatever it is), though to get to this point it takes more than luck I'm sure. I look forward to hearing from you again, but more importantly, seeing you and the Hot Dog again. Remember, victory belongs to the most persevering.

P.S.
Pork must be jacked at this point right? He's going to get all the bitches when he walks down the street, literally.

P.S.S.
I've started growing a beard at about Thanksgiving time. I think I've given you a more than adequate head start...

Pete-
It was soooo great to speak with you today - thanks so much for calling. I loved all the photos, especially the ones of Pork and his cool pack - he looks great (and so do you!). The nature photos were great - all the scenery and the freakishly large bugs, bright fungi, and unknown vegetation. I look forward to following the blog as you go forward. Good luck and stay safe and happy!
Fondly-

Good to hear from you guys! It is good to see that you are in good health and good spirits as you get closer to the halfway point. With all this hiking, Pork has to be jacked by now. And it's good to see that you finally grew a real beard, Pete, even if it took you 3 1/2 months.

Keep up the good work, looking forward to another update!

Peter, Alex and Pork,

Can not belive what you all did to get to the island. Hiking at night for two nights with head lamps. Well you did it and you all arrived at 1:00 AM on Saturday morning. Way cool. Everyone from Moonahanus enjoyed seeing you all and it was a great way to unwind and catch up on some good eating and talk. It was our largest gathering at 23. Loved the pics, but I am surprized on how many food pics there are. Guess that is a big focus with all the hard hiking and trail food you both eat. You all look like you're in great shape. Pork looks great.

I especially enjoyed out little "hike" and chat on the back side of the island. Love you much. Stay safe. Try to not hime at night. Alex got to the Greyhound about 5:00 PM.

Heh Peter- so much fun reading your blog, which is rich in the prose of a wandering vagabond, embracing life to its fullest....so happy for you that you took this time "out" , which probably seems more "in" than most of our human endeavors....really hoping you guys can make it to Moonahanis, but my own vague calculations say it twould be tough, specially hobbled by swollen appendages and funky scented Divas....but Alas! Carry on Mate, do everything and more of what I might do (I hear your dad screaming!...Non!) and maybe we'll see you soon?? Always welcome to come visit here in Alna...the farm is soooo peaceful...be well and live large!! xx oo ck 207-837-9135

Totally cool on your progress. Can not believe how far you guys are going each day now. Your getting close to Maine. How are the mountains? This is your hardest section.

Speaking of Maine, Dave and I will be in Oquesic Maine (between Andover and Rangeley) just over the Maine border on August 28-29-30. Peter, You have been to Moonahanus many times of your life since you were a baby. This is my yearly college retreat on a Brown Island in Mooselookmodundic lake with 10 log cabins. The AT is only 1/4 mile accross the lake and we can see you all as you come over the "height of the Land" trail of the AT. That part the trail has to merge with the road beacuse of the geography.

Brent's cell phone is 315-445-3062 and my phone will be on. Please come for the night and eat well. We will pick up up by boat. You can sleep in a bed, eat good food and laugh by the giant cabin fire with us and my college friends. This is our 30 anniversay tget together this year. We would love it. As you know, Porkus is totally welcome and safe for him as it is a provate island. In the, morning we will put you back on the trail.

Timing is everything on this part. But you look really close to Maine as of now. Again we are 7 days away from today.

Let's see if we can meet up.

Love dad and Dave.
